Hot weather summer workouts call for shorts, tanks, and t-shirts that are comfortable that also hold up well to extra sweaty workouts. Most of my favorite workout gear for this time of year has been in my wardrobe for years because they remain tried and true favorites, but I occasionally like to add new pieces the change things up a bit. Here are my go-to hot weather activewear picks that I wholeheartedly recommend! (I plan to do a separate tennis post- stay tuned!)

Colorfulkoala high rise bike shorts (Amazon)- My “warm weather leggings” aka bike shorts are some of the most-worn athletic bottoms in my wardrobe…and I never thought I’d be a bike shorts person. They fit just like the Colorfulkoala leggings but are 6″ and are perfect for exercising in hot weather. I size up a size in these. The smooth high-rise waistband is comfortable (great for pregnancy and postpartum) and the two leg pockets are perfect for a phone, keys, or a credit card. I even run with my phone in the leg pocket and have no issues with it bouncing around. Can’t recommend these enough!
Train to Be Tank Top (lululemon)- This is similar to Swiftly tanks, but I prefer this cut better because it’s looser. Really lightweight and great for sweaty workouts.
Sculpt Tank (old version on sale) (lululemon)- These tanks are the best. Great for wearing with bike shorts when you want your bum covered a bit. Not-form fitting and they come in a bunch of colors! All of mine are the older version which are practically the same, aside from how they do the mesh detail on the back and the addition of some reflective parts on the new version.
Vimhue Hat– I almost always wear a hat when I exercise outside, and this hat is perfect because you’re able to wear a high ponytail with it! It has UPF 50 and comes in tons of colors. I bought one at our country club and plan to get more because I love the fit so much. So glad I was able to find it online!
Train to Be Short Sleeve Shirt (lululemon)- This is similar to Swiftly short sleeve shirts, but I prefer this cut better because it’s looser and shorter. Really lightweight and great for sweaty workouts.
Speed up High-Rise Shorts 4″ (lululemon)- I used to wear the shorter length Speed Shorts but these days I need shorts that are a little longer that also have a high-rise. These shorts are perfection! They also have built in briefs so you don’t have to wear underwear with them.
New Balance Running Shoes– I’ve worn New Balance 880s for years and they are the best! Lightweight and great support. I’m an 8 in most shoes but get in 8.5 in New Balance. I wear these for running, cardio, and strength training (basically everything but tennis).
Love Tank (lululemon)- This is a great lightweight tank that is not fitted. I wear it to tennis often.
Align Waist Length Racer Back Tank (lululemon)- Cool Racer Backs used to be my favorite but now I prefer a higher neck and a shorter length. This Align tank is perfect because it’s a crew neck and hits right above the hips, which is more flattering if you wear higher rise bottoms.
Muscle Tank Tops (Amazon)- I tend to wear these at home when I do sweaty workouts. They have large armholes so they are nice and breezy. They come in a 3 pack and are great if you are nursing too! They are true to size.
Energy Sports Bra (lululemon)- No joke, the majority of my lululemon bras are over a decade old. They are still in pristine condition too! The Energy Bra is my favorite because it has great support and is comfortable to wear. (Best for sizes A-C, I believe.)
