In 2020 I purchased our plaid Christmas bedding from Pottery Barn and I absolutely love pulling it out every year. Plaids, especially tartans, are so timeless and festive and I never tire of them at Christmastime!

We have the duvet cover and Euro shams but I just ordered the matching tartan sheets for next year so that we have the full set. All of these are on sale right now too, by the way! The red throw pillow is a couple years old from Target. I love adding a preserved boxwood wreath and garland for a little greenery this time of year as well. I’ve had this wreath for 6 years and the garland for 4 years, they hold up well and I love that they’re real boxwood but still usable year after year. The bed skirt is Serena and Lily and the color works perfectly year-round because this bedding has a faint blue stripe in it.
Decorating a bedroom for Christmas takes a little upfront cost but overall it is such an easy way to spread a little Christmas cheer into another room of the house. Do you decorate your bedroom for Christmas or have Christmas bedding?
Our headboard is vintage and I painted it Farrow and Ball Parma Gray. My nightstand is a vintage dresser that I painted Benjamin Moore Chantilly Lace, which is such a pretty and crisp white. The campaign dresser was also a DIY paint job from years ago and it was originally in Jack’s nursery. The curtains are Ikea (the color is blue-gray), curtain rod is Amazon, curtain rings are Amazon, and bamboo blinds are Amazon. The blue and white lamps were a Facebook marketplace find, as was the wicker bench below the windows.
