Fall fashion always makes me think of getting back to the basics. Every year I look forward to bringing back out my staple pieces like open front cardigans, solid colored long sleeve t-shirts and sweaters, and quilted jackets. Walmart is a wonderful source for these fall staples, so today I’ve rounded up my cool weather picks from Walmart for the season ahead.
Shop the Post:
pointelle sweater | fleece zip up jacket | navy quilted jacket | black faux leather dress | black dress | black fine rib turtleneck | black lug Chelsea boots | black heels | white boatneck t-shirt | quarter zip sweatshirt pullover | basic crew neck t-shirts | open front cardigan | faux leather leggings | pink crewneck sweater | anorak jacket | red and pink dress | olive quilted jacket
My style is pretty classic and simple, so Walmart’s Time and Tru brand is my typical go-to. They always have simple yet stylish pieces that I know I can rely on. And if you follow me on Instagram you know that my girls practically live in their Walmart Wonder Nation dresses! I’ve owned my Time and Tru open front cardigan for 4 or so years and still break it out on a regular basis. I also have my favorite Walmart pieces from previous seasons that I wear on repeat, like my Time and Tru tank tops, Avia quilted athletic pullovers, Athletic Works sneakers, and my new favorite athletic dress that I own in 2 colors.
For this fall, my top pick that I’d recommend snagging now-no matter what your budget is- is this quilted jacket. The cut is chic, the colors are versatile, and it will be a piece you’ll turn to year after year. I tried it on in store and was blown away by the style and quality. I have on one size too large in this photo, but hopefully it’ll help you see what it really looks like. This quilted jacket is true to size and so perfect for fall!
Scoop and Free Assembly are the trendier brands from Walmart, and they have some really cute colorful pieces this season. This red and pink dress is so fun, and I recently snagged this beautiful pink crewneck sweater, and my very particular 5 year old, Caroline, fanatically approved. It is true to size and comes in a number of colors.
Every year, Time and Tru offers an open front cardigan. I have a cream one from a number of years ago, but I tried on the camel colored current version a few days ago and it’s the neutral layering piece. Highly recommend, and it’s under $15. (It is true to size, though I’m wearing a size larger in this photo since they didn’t have my size in store.)
