Classics are just that- they’re timeless pieces that should never go out of style. These are the pieces you want to invest in and keep for a decade, or longer. Here are some of my go-to fall outfits, built around the pieces that I think will help you get a timeless look that will have you looking chic all fall long. I have most of these items, or an older version of something similar.

Fall Must Haves for A Classic Wardrobe
Cable Knit Sweater– Cable knit sweaters add the best texture and always look cozy. I love this black one from Amazon that I’ve owned for over 2 years, and recently bought this oatmeal colored one.
Demi-Boot Crop Jeans– Perhaps not “timeless”- per se, but they’re a great style of jeans to make you look current.
Leopard Print Loafers– Invest in a quality pair and you’ll wear them year after year. My pair is from 2013, but if I needed a new pair I’d definitely get Birdies.
Striped Boatneck T-Shirt– I wear these year round. Absolutely timeless.
Gold Hoops– Always a classic. These are a great smaller option, that I also have.
Ribbed Turtleneck– I invested in this cream turtleneck last year and it is so ladylike and chic. The button details at the sleeve elevate it a bit, and the ribbing is current but done in a way that isn’t trendy. Love it paired with a vest!
Barbour Coat– A versatile piece that will always be in style. Add the liner (that I wear as a vest on it’s own as well) for extra warmth in the winter. I size up in both.
Tortoise Hair Clip– This has been a new go-to hair clip. Twirl your hair up in a french twist for a chic look. Love this pearl one too.
Glove Boots– These are wonderful to wear under demi-boot crop jeans and also with skinny jeans. Mine are old but these look quite similar.
White Button Down– A gauze button down is great because it doesn’t look to dressy so you can wear it all year long with practically every type of pants or shorts. Here’s a similar and more affordable option.
Trench Coat– Get a good one and it’ll last you a lifetime. Mine is old from J.Crew Factory but this one from Banana Republic is similar.
Dudley Stephens Turtleneck Fleece– I love these chic fleeces for a warm fall/winter layer. Fleece can be stylish, if it’s Dudley Stephens!
Tunic Sweater– These Amazon sweater tunics are great to throw on over leggings. I own this in 3 colors! Size down.
Faux Leather Leggings– I have spanx leggings but tend to wear my Amazon leggings more often!
Simple Loafers– A tan or brown pair of loafers is my shoe of choice in the fall. Birdies are my favorite! Comfortable yet stylish.
