Timeless Spring Fashion
I am so ready for spring! I’m over the cold weather and am really excited to bring my warm weather clothes back out. I don’t plan to shop much this year because I’ve tried to build a wardrobe that isn’t too trendy that will work year after year, plus, we’re saving money for projects in the new house. After a poll on Instagram it seems like a number of people are looking for pretty spring dresses, nursing friendly dresses, shorts that aren’t too short or too long, flat sandals and shoes, white jeans, practical mom outfits, good postpartum options, and simple t-shirts and tops to wear with denim shorts. I’ve rounded up some timeless options that caught my eye that caught my eye. I have many of these things, like the best white jeans ever (true to size), the packable sun hats I swear by (budget/more casual or dressier with a bow), the simple $8 white t-shirt I own multiple of (I like to size up a size), white denim shorts that are the perfect length (true to size), and the perfect nude flip flops (true to size and available in so many skin tones).
Nursing Friendly Spring Dresses
As for nursing friendly dresses (or just cute options for anyone), I can’t recommend a Hill House Home nap dress enough. I have one and would have loved it when I was nursing. The bodice is smocked (elastic) so you can easily pull it down to nurse. Pay attention to sizing because the older styles require sizing down but the newer colors seem to be true to size. I also found a number of cute dresses from the Draper James x Kohl’s collection- most of which are nursing friendly. The blue button front maxi, white button front shirt dress, and puff sleeve shirt dress would all be great options!
Spring Shoes and Sandals
If you’re looking for a pair of dressy heels that will be incredibly versatile I’d check out these raffia block heels from J.Crew Factory. I have a pair that looks very similar from J. McLaughlin and they were way more expensive. These are only $79! They’re neutral so they will go with everything. White Tretorns are the most comfortable casual sneaker option, and raffia mules and slides will be a workhorse in your wardrobe.
Go-To Spring Outfit
One of my default timeless spring and summer outfits is a striped boatneck t-shirt, white jeans, raffia mules, raffia earrings (these or these), and a trench coat. It’s comfortable, mom-friendly (just wash your whites with a scoop of oxiclean), and looks so chic.
When it comes to layering in the spring, I love a navy or lighter colored cardigan or sweater blazer. A blush pink sweater blazer is a wonderful option, as is this dreamy blue cardigan.
