The kids will be heading back to school before we know it, so it’s time to start thinking about school clothing and shoes as we head into fall! As a child, I adored back to school shopping, and now it’s quite possibly even more fun now that I get to dress 3 little kiddos of my own (even though Caroline has very strong opinions on what she wears). Our favorite source for shoes for the kids is Jenzy, which is a fantastic website and app that has a great sizing tool that helps you get the right fit, even if it’s a brand you’ve never tried before. Jenzy offers brands such as Keds, Hunter, Vans, New Balance, Cienta, Native, and more, and I’m excited to partner with Jenzy today to share my favorite back to school options for little boys and girls. My kids must wear closed toed shoes to school, so all of these will work great for the season ahead. I’m all about making life easier too, so none of these have shoelaces either.

For back to school for the girls (Tate will be going to school for the first time!), we’ve added the T-Strap Cienta sneakers in red (though they also come in light pink, navy, light blue gingham and light pink gingham) because nothing says back to school more than cute red shoes. I think they’ll be darling with little knee socks or tights once the weather gets cooler. For Jack, we chose his first pair of New Balance sneakers, since he’ll be heading to kindergarten soon and I know he’ll spend a lot of time running around the playground and during recess.
I’ve partnered with Jenzy on Instagram twice before (here wearing Keds and here wearing Cienta slip on sneakers), and I’ve also purchased shoes through them on my own because I love their sizing-tool so much and it recommends the size that you’ll need in each particular style of shoes that they carry. The kids love their Cienta slip-on sneakers and I like that they’re easy to put on, comfortable to wear, and they look absolutely darling with shorts, dresses, rompers and pants. They’ll continue wearing these throughout the school year (we’ll add socks once we need to) and I know that this style will now be a year-round staple in their wardrobes, just as Natives are a staple when the weather is warm.
