I recently realized that I didn’t have any tablecloths that were the right shape or size for either of the two dining tables we have in our home. I’m still in the phase of life where they aren’t super practical because we have a baby that will pull it (and everything on top of it) off the table, but I couldn’t pass up the cute striped and tasseled tablecloths that are at Target right now. I bought the round one for this table and the rectangular one for our larger table, and at only $15 a piece they quite affordable and look much more expensive!

I decided to create this tablescape after I bought a bunch of hydrangeas that I wanted to put to good use, and seeing this scene made me want to throw a little dinner party where we could actually set a table and enjoy some good food and lively conversation around this table!
The faux bamboo flatware is incredible affordable and on Prime, the rattan chargers were a recent Homegoods find but some similar ones can be found here, and we’ve had the wrapped glasses for 2 or 3 years and use them daily. They slip right out of their seagrass holders so you can throw them in the dishwasher and they also eliminate the need for a coaster on your coffee table! We have the highball (taller) ones too. The Trader Joe’s hydrangeas are in a cane-wrapped hurricane from Amanda Lindroth, but I recently purchased 2 of these lanterns/vases from Target and they give you a similar look for significantly less (only $10). These are such a great style because they work well as a vase and also as a hurricane with a pillar candle inside. We tend to use our blue willow plates and our simple white plates on a daily basis, and I love how clean and simple these everyday plates are from Williams-Sonoma. We received them as part of our wedding registry and I’m still a big fan! The striped cloth napkins come as a set of 12 on Prime for $19.99 and they are available in a number of colors and also in gingham.
Now who’s coming over for dinner?!
