The military has always been near and dear to my heart. As a third generation veteran (my dad and both of my grandfathers are retired Army officers) as well as a third generation military spouse, the military has always been part of my life and I’m proud of the tradition that runs in my family. When I found out about Cheerios partnership with Operation Homefront I leapt at the chance to help get the word out. I’ve been an avid Walmart shopper for years, and with 3 little kids at home we almost always have a box of Family Size Cheerios™ or Family Size Honey Nut Cheerios™ in the pantry! And with my military connection and my love of sharing ways to support military families on this platform of mine, I truly couldn’t be more excited about this partnership.
Now, you can help too when you buy a specially-marked box of Cheerios at Walmart and enter the code found inside the box at CheeriosGives.com. Cheerios will donate $1, (up to a maximum donation of $200,000), to the Operation Homefront program of your choice, to brighten the lives of military families.
After I left the Active Duty Army and transitioned to the civilian world, I felt lost and listless for months. The profession that had been such a part of my life for the previous 9+ years suddenly didn’t define me anymore. I didn’t have any injuries, thankfully, but I can imagine that those who are injured while serving have an even more challenging transition out of uniform than I did. And that’s where Operation Homefront comes in. They’re an incredible non-profit organization that supports the military and veteran communities in many different ways. From providing permanent and transitional homes for veterans to backpacks of school supplies for military children, and even support events for the caregivers of injured veterans, Operation Homefront steps in and fills the void when it’s needed most. There are tens of thousands of military families struggling to make ends meet, and Operation Homefront is here for them. Operation Homefront builds strong, stable, and secure military families so they can thrive in the communities they’ve worked so hard to protect.
Cheerios has always been a favorite cereal of mine. Nothing beats a bowl of Cheerios with fresh fruit on top, and they’re such a handy and worry-free snack to give babies and toddlers. Occasionally I’ll even add an extra drizzle of honey on top of my Honey Nut Cheerios- it’s so good if you’ve never tried that before! We always have a box of Cheerios in the pantry, and I love that we can now help put those yellow boxes to use to help military families in need. These boxes can only be found at Walmart, so on your next trip to the superstore to check out the affordable clothing finds I love to share on Instagram, be sure to swing by the cereal aisle to grab a box or two of specially-marked Cheerios to help give back to the military community!

What a wonderful organization! I worked at Wounded Warrior Project and we partnered with Operation Homefront. I cannot speak more highly of them. Thank you for raising awareness and supporting our military community!
