I’ve had my eye on a pair of Margaux shoes for a few years and when they invited me to join their ambassador program I excitedly jumped at the opportunity! I knew the shoes were beautiful and had heard that they were incredibly comfortable, but after owning my own pair of Margaux Pointe flats for a few weeks I now know what everyone was talking about. Not only are the shoes the epitome of chicness, they’re also so comfortable that you don’t even have to break them in. They come in a number of colors and styles but I chose the Pointe flat in the neutral Napa Rose color because I thought they’d be a nice versatile shoe that I could wear with all sorts of outfits. I love the feminine bow detail too, though this style is also available without a bow. Today I wanted to share a few real life ways I’ve worn my Margaux Pointe flats these past few weeks, just in case you’re on the hunt for a timeless pair of well made flats. If it’s your first purchase, be sure to use code STRIPES10 to save 10%! (These shoes were gifted to me but I’d absolutely spend my own money on them.)
As far as sizing goes, I tried them in my normal size 8 at first and found them to be too narrow. I don’t have a particularly wide foot (maybe slightly wider than they used to be after having 3 kids) but ended up having to get the wide version of my normal size. I also love the look of the Loafer, the Mule, the slide Slippers, and the Demi (traditional ballet flat).
4 Ways to Wear Margaux Pointe Flats

Outfit #1: with Spanx Faux Leather Leggings
This outfit made me truly fall in love with these cult-favorite leggings. At first glance these Spanx faux leather leggings are edgy (something I most definitely am not), but when paired with my Margaux flats, a Dudley Stephens fleece turtleneck (this is the natural blush color) layered over a button down shirt and with simple gold hoops ($28) it transforms the leggings into a classic and timeless outfit. All I did was wear this outfit to Target and to take the kids to school, but I felt so chic (and comfy) while wearing it. Spanx faux leather leggings run small, so be sure to size up one size. (They also come in petite and tall lengths. I’m 5’5″ and am wearing the regular length.) The white shirt I have on is this old one from Walmart (sold out online, unfortunately), but I’ve also worn this cute shirt from Joules underneath a DS fleece and it worked great! (I’m normally a 4 but sized up to a 6.) To dress for cold weather I added my beloved Chateau Parka over top.
Outfit #2: With a dress
The perfect dressy yet practical shoe to wear with kids (or if you simply don’t want to wear heels). These shoes worked great with this green dress from H&M that I bought a few years ago to wear during the holidays, and I was comfortable yet didn’t feel too casual at all (what sometimes happens if you wear flats with a dress). My gold headband is from J.Crew Factory and Tate’s dress and tights and Jack’s pants are from Monday’s Child, the sweetest children’s boutique in Alexandria.
Outfit #3: with Jeans and a Cable Knit Sweater
This comfy yet stylish outfit was so easy to throw on yet I totally felt pulled together! This demi-boot crop style of jeans has been my go-to since I bought them this summer (here is the current version) and I love how the looked with my Margaux flats. My black cable knit sweater is an Amazon find and I’ve been so impressed with it. It feels much more expensive than just $26 and it comes in a number of colors and runs tts. Navy might need to be my next color! My tartan headband is from J.Crew Factory and is no longer available, but this one is similar.
Outfit #4: with White Pants and a Dudley Stephens Fleece Turtleneck
I wore this outfit a couple of weeks ago and these white demi-boot crop pants are the perfect winter white pants and the 9 inch rise is incredibly comfortable and flattering. They’re creamier in color and not quite as stark as a bright summery white pants, and they paired well with my Margaux Pointe flats and hunter green Dudley Stephens Park Slope fleece. For added warmth I wore my classic lady coat in black overtop. This coat makes me think of something Kate Middleton would wear and makes me immediately feel classy 🙂 It runs small, so size up one size. My pearls are the large Penelope studs from Julie Vos.
Outfit #5: with a Maxi Dress
This was my Thanksgiving outfit for our laidback turkey day at home. My dress is the Dolly dress from Madison-Mathews (code KATIE will save you 10% on this dress) and it runs large, so size down one size. My Margaux Pointe flats worked so well with a dress of this length and they’re so neutral that they don’t compete with the colorful pattern of the fabric. Super comfy and easy outfit to put together!
