My Favorite Face Masks and Some Cute New Earrings

Funny how I never thought I’d ever write a blog post about face masks, but here we are!  There are so many cute face mask options these days, ranging from handmade to mass produced from big chain stores, so I wanted to share my favorite masks that seem to check all the blocks for me.  Face masks are required inside all buildings where we live, and I’m pretty sure this is how it will be for the foreseeable future, so this unexpected new accessory might as well be cute!  Bonus points when you can match your earrings to your mask, and I can do just that with these new earrings I bought from The Tiny Tassel.

My Favorite Face Masks and New Earrings from The Tiny Tassel

My very favorite face masks I have are from Tuckernuck.  They’re pricier but they fit incredibly well and look chic too.  You know, as far as masks go.  I like the solid band that goes all the way around, and they fit very nicely over your nose and aren’t too tight around your ears.  There is a pleat at the nose (no metal clip) and a pleat at the chin and I haven’t found a mask that fits as well or as comfortably as these do.  They also don’t ride up when you’re talking, which is something I experienced with some of the other masks I’ve tried.  I have the Chambray Swiss Dot mask, which is a nice versatile blue, and I couldn’t resist the striped face mask, for obvious reasons.  They’re now making pretty Liberty of London floral masks, and they have a number of cute masks for children too.  Caroline says she wants this pink one with flowers and I plan on buying this blue and white safari toile one for myself next.  I have a tortoise shell necklace that I converted into a sunglasses holder a few months ago, and I plan on adding some mini alligator clips to it so that I can use it as a mask holder.  Tuckernuck has this tortoise mask/sunglasses chain for sale which is what gave me the idea!  This seems like a really handy option so you don’t have to store them in your pocket (or lose them) when you’re in and out of the car.

The earrings I’m wearing above are the Elliotborough Tassel Earrings in Cornflower Blue from The Tiny Tassel, which is a black owned business I was really excited to support when I discovered it back at the beginning of June.  The owner’s name is Mimi Striplin and she’s located in Charleston and she has the dreamiest and most colorful collection of handmade accessories and clothing.  These particular earrings have a pretty blue and white ginger jar-looking bead at the top .  Y’all know my affinity for ginger jars 🙂 The other pair of earrings that I purchased (as seen in the first photo) are the Sullivan’s Tassel Earrings in Navy, though they come in a multitude of fun colors.  I love the bamboo ring that the tassels are on!

If you’re looking for some other cute mask options here are some others that I like, though I haven’t personally tried them.
