Who else considers white denim a year round staple? It looks great in colder months paired with other winter whites, and it’s perfect in the spring and summer, especially with a simple striped tee. I found this blush and white striped t-shirt at Target a few weeks ago and have worn it with white pants and with denim shorts, and it looked great with both! And at a mere $8 you just can’t beat it! I sized up to a medium for a looser fit, but a small would have worked well too. And thankfully it’s still available in all sizes online, so if you need a great short sleeved shirt for the upcoming warm seasons, this is a fantastic one to snag!
My white jeans are from Walmart (!) from last summer and I’m pretty sure they were about $10. They’re from the Time and Tru line and there isn’t anything similar now, but hopefully they’ll offer something similar this year too. They have a higher rise and are incredibly comfortable and my old J.Crew white denim no longer gets any use. Isn’t that crazy? I love a good affordable fashion find.
The woven rattan earrings I’m wearing were included in my blog post last week about my favorite earrings…and they’re only $12.99 from Amazon! Super light weight and fun to wear. And they’ll match with every spring outfit! Seriously, these are a must have.
The hat I’m wearing is my go-to preppy sun hat. The cream colored bow in the back is perfection! I also have the hat with a navy ribbon, and it comes in black and pink too. It has an adjustable tie on the inside so it’s one size fits all, which makes online shopping for a hat a bit easier. It fits perfectly and it’s made to be packable too!
The cardigan sweater I’m wearing in one of these photos is another Walmart find! It feels much higher quality and it’s so soft and cozy to wear. It comes in 11 colors and is under $14! I’ve had mine for about 8 months and I can’t recommend it enough.
We took these photos at White Plains Beach on the west side of Oahu. We were a little late for sunrise and a giant monk seal was right on this beach when we got there, but then he decided to head out to sea so we were able to snap a few photos before the sun got too bright! This isn’t the best place to catch the sunrise from but you can see it rise over Diamond Head in the distance, and it was truly a beautiful experience. If you want to learn to surf this is a fantastic beach to visit, we went surfing there back in December when my family was visiting and had the best time! If you’re military you can rent surfboards really cheaply, but it’s a public beach so anyone can visit.
My friend Stephanie took these photos, isn’t she so talented? She’s expanding her portfolio so if you need photos on Oahu definitely send her a note!
