Weekend Recap

Hallelujah, this weekend we were sickness-free!  On Saturday I cleaned the house (for the first time in forever…I’m so bad at housekeeping), we ran 3 miles as a family (my first time running since getting stitches in my foot 3 weeks ago and it was TOUGH for me), I did some serious online shopping for Jack and his soon-to-be sibling (I’ll do a blog post on this soon), and I cooked cauliflower rice for the first time.  I made cauliflower fried rice (loosely based off of this recipe from Eat Yourself Skinny that I found on Pinterest) and it was actually really good!  Tom enjoyed it too, which is saying something because he’s not really a cauliflower fan.  I will definitely make it again.

On Sunday we made it to church and went to a first birthday party afterwards.  I broke out the stripes for us because I’ve been slacking and we haven’t really coordinated in a while 🙂  Jack was told that he looked like he just came from a polo match, and I’d have to agree.  I found his striped cardigan this past week at the Gap Factory store on the clearance rack and knew I had to get it.  It was marked down to about $16 in the store and I think every preppy toddler boy needs it for spring.  I really love the mustard/navy color combo lately, and it’s even better with a little denim shirt thrown in.  Dressing toddler boys is so much fun!

Thank you Leslie! I totally agree, dressing toddlers is so much fun! Jack normally looks way more pulled together than I do 🙂
