Jack’s New Nursery

We moved to Fort Leavenworth, Kansas back in July and I’m excited to finally share Jack’s full nursery tour with you!  You’ll recognize almost everything from his nursery back in Maryland (see the tutorial for his drift wood mobile here and the rehab project of his vintage campaign dresser and hutch here), but the arrangement of art and furniture is very different and we’ve added some amazing pieces too!

I teamed up with Carousel Designs recently and used their Nursery Designer tool to design a crib sheet, a rail guard, a crib comforter and curtains and I am so happy with how everything turned out!  You seriously can customize every aspect and it’s so much fun to use.  The Nursery Designer tool lets you choose from their fantastic selection of fabrics and completely visualize your design.  I decided to stay rather neutral when it came to pattern and color because the rest of the room is pretty colorful, but Carousel Design’s fabric selection is extremely large and was so much fun to look through.  There really is something to fit every aesthetic.  I went with Gray Madrid on the blackout curtains,  White and Gray Waves on the sheet, quilt and rail guard with Solid Navy and Solid White details.  One of my favorite parts of the whole room is the personalized sheet with Jack’s name on it!  Such a cute little detail, don’t you think?  As for the rail guard, I never even thought about needing one until Jack started pulling up in his crib.  He would then bounce up and down with his mouth on the rail and he’d end up hurting his gums when they’d hit the rail.  Now he has a nice little cushion on top that helps keep him from hurting himself.  It’s reversible too!

If you’ve never heard of Carousel Designs before let me tell you a little more about them.  They’re veteran owned (the co-owners and marketing director are all fellow West Point grads!), the products are all made in America (their plant is in Douglasville, GA), and the quality of their products is amazing!  They are also one of the main sponsors of the non-profit organization Operation Shower, which helps throw baby showers for expecting military families.

They’re offering 25% off plus free shipping right now (until November 29th) with code TURKEY25 so if you’ve been on the lookout for beautifully designed custom baby bedding and decor then you’ve got to check out Carousel Designs today!
