Vintage Faux Bamboo Shelves

Thrifting in Kansas is off to a strong start!  My first thrift store treasure was some vintage faux bamboo shelves and I got them for a mere $5.  Shelves have been on my thrifting list since we moved here because I finally have a designated office space.  I have so many knickknacks, books and crafting/DIY supplies that need to be organized, so this was such a fantastic find.  Not that I need any more faux bamboo around here…but I just couldn’t resist.  Plus they were way cheaper than if I had bought some simple shelves at Walmart, and also much cuter (or at least they will be soon!).

Stay tuned to see how they turn out.  I’ve already sanded them but haven’t gotten around to painting them yet.  I’m hoping to finish this project up before the month is over.

Thanks Leslie! I already have one coat of paint on it and it's looking so much better. I'm hoping the rain holds off tomorrow so I can finish it soon!

Thanks Jennifer! I finished painting them on Monday and then flew to Georgia Tuesday. I'm excited to get back and style/photograph them! The transformation is amazing!
