Y’all remember the story of the chairs I found in a trash pile in New York City? (I blogged about it here and here if you missed it.) Well, they finally made it down to my family’s beach cottage, and they look so good! Just to recap, here is what the chairs looked like when I found them:
This was taken at the beginning of our mile-long trek back to the hotel with the chairs.
The chairs had great bones but they smelled really bad and the leather upholstery was falling apart. I chose to get them reupholstered in this striped fabric from fabric.com. It was only $9.98 a yard, which was refreshing because fabric is often very expensive. Here they are now in their new home!
So much better, right? I just think they are so much fun and they add a nice dash of whimsy to the living room. Here is a peek at the rest of the living room:
I’ll share more of our “budget beach cottage makeover” soon!
I am in love with these chairs!
Great job with the chairs and the remainder of the room! Yes.. A tour please!😊
Thanks Diane! I'm going to do it in bits and pieces showing each of the projects we worked on, so please check back often!
