It’s Not Easy Being Green

Recently I’ve been going through a bit of an identity crisis.  Ok that sounds more dramatic that what’s really going on, but somehow over the past few weeks I’ve developed a strong love of a new color.  This is a huge deal for me because I’ve always been a pink girl.  Pink chairs, pink pens, pink art, pink books…if you look around my apartment it’s obvious that I never grew out of my little girl pink phase.  Then blue started mingling with pink, so now I have a blue sofa, ginger jars galore, and plenty of blue knickknacks.  That was all well and good, but now a new color has begun creeping in, and it’s one I never expected.  Can you guess what color it is?  It’s GREEN!  Green y’all.  I’ve never really liked green.  Ever.  I don’t know what’s going on, but I currently looooove green.  I even want to upholster chairs in a green leaf pattern.  I don’t know what’s going on, but I kinda love it.  Plus pink and green look pretty and preppy together, so at least I can work some green in and it’ll still “go” with my color scheme.  (Although let’s be honest, I’ve never actually had much of a plan…I just like what I like and figure out how to make it work!)  So all of that being said, here are a few of the rooms that have been inspiring me to incorporate a little green into my own home:

I could never go this bold with green, but I love it!
A palm pillow and a fig tree is a more subtle way to incorporate some green into your home.
This is the living room of Piqued PR founder Patricia Maristch.  So much fun!

Are you loving green as much as I am now?  Well if you are then you’re in luck because I’ve rounded up some fun items that will help you add a pop or two of green to your home.  Maybe it is easy being green after all!

I'm just now getting into it. I don't know what took me so long!
