On My Mind…Lately

Happy happy Friday everyone!  These past three weeks have been wonderful yet amazingly busy!  My hubby has had work conferences or classes in some pretty cool places lately, so I couldn’t resist tagging along.  NYC for five days followed by five days in San Diego?  Yes please!

Here’s what’s been on my mind lately:

1.  Dash of Vintage Whimsy.

Ok, so obviously the recent big news for me is that my Etsy shop, Dash of Vintage Whimsy, recently opened!  Check it out if you’re looking for fun and whimsical vintage pieces for your home!  More pieces coming soon.

2. Design Blogger Conference.  Is anyone else attending this?  It’s in Atlanta from February 25th through 27th and Nate Berkus is the key note speaker.  (How cool??)  I just signed up to attend and I’d love to meet you if you’re going too!  Let me know!

3.  Striped Pompom Throw.

Stripes and pompoms all on one blanket?  That sounds like a match made in heaven to me!  These are adorable and I’d like one in each color, please.

4.  The Everygirl Top 10 Home Tours of 2014.  Did you see that The Everygirl announced the top 10 home tours of 2014?  It came out a few days ago and miraculously my home was #4!  Ahhhh! I can’t believe it.  I’m so proud to be listed among so many other beautiful homes, and I truly appreciate all of you who happened to “find me” through the feature.  Y’all are awesome!

5.  Italian Turkey and Orzo Soup.

I fixed this soup (recipe from Cooking Light) for dinner last night and it was really yummy and really easy.  Throw in some French bread and some Parmesan cheese (and wine) and you’ve got the perfect hearty winter meal that’s healthy too!

Have a lovely weekend everyone!  Don’t forget to follow me on Instagram, Pinterest, Facebook and Bloglovin 🙂

Coolness all around! Your products are all stunning and elegant, yet accessible. I'd gladly check out your new Etsy shop. You know, your shop can be a fine opportunity to really integrate your products into the daily doings of your community. That's a locked in bunch of buyers you've got there, so make the most out of those online platforms. More power to you, Katie!

My best friend was just talking about that conference! She will be attending as well. I feel like you two would hit it off… Her name is Cate Dunning and she is an awesomely talented interior designer (shameless plug for GordonDunning! – http://www.gordondunning.com). It would be so near if y'all crossed paths!
