Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, and I have a super simple DIY for all of you! You know how those knotted elastic hair ties are super popular now? I’m guilty of buying many of them (and they aren’t exactly cheap!) but I recently stumbled upon the easiest way to make them myself!
Go to your local craft store (I bought this at Joann’s) and go find the “1/2 inch Fold-Over Elastic.” I knew this stuff was sold in stores but I never knew what to call it. It’s just $2.99 for one yard of it, which will make 4 hair ties.
They make all sorts of fun patterns, but today I’m using this adorable pink and red heart pattern because Valentine’s Day is right around the corner!
First, cut the elastic into 9 inch pieces.
Second, fold it in half (with the pattern on the outside).
Next, loop the “ends side” into a knot, keeping the ends together.
Pull the knot tight. And repeat the steps on the next one!
And you’re done! Super easy huh? Hooray for easy DIYs!
So cute (as usual)! We will try it!
