As I’m sure you’ve gathered by now, I love to hunt for treasures at flea markets, thrift stores, and antique markets. The thrill of the hunt is really exciting to me, because you never know when you’re going to stumble upon some amazing treasure!
A while back I mentioned this gem of a place that I recently discovered, called Lucketts Store. It’s in Leesburg, VA, which is over an hour from where I live, but it is absolutely worth the trip. I recently went back for my second visit, and the selection blew me away just as it did the first time. This time, Tom tagged along with my camera so that we could capture the experience.
I have to add a little bit of fashion into this post, so here is what I wore 🙂
I’m pretty obsessed with this striped snood with tassels right now.
Leopard print loafers. You’ve gotta have comfy feet when browsing for antiques!
Searching for diamonds in the rough at the flea market.
Smelling the pumpkin pie soap.
This is my happy place!
I saw so many neat vintage bar carts while I was there. All at very affordable prices!
A coat rack made with deer hooves. Intriguing in an odd way…
This is my favorite find from the trip. A brass antelope head for just $74!
Here are some of the other items I purchased: brass and lucite candle stick, antlers, a framed sketch of an eye, and a metal deer ornament. I also bought a little bistro set for our deck.
I can’t wait to decorate with this guy! Stay tuned to see how I use it…
As you can see, with three multi-level buildings, and dozens of tents with individual merchants set up outside, you’ve GOT to check this place out if you get the chance. Are there any places like this in your area? Please share, because I’m always looking for a neat new antique store to visit when I’m on the road!
Sadly I live nowhere near this store but my favorite place in Saint Paul is called Sophie Joe's Emporium – lots of housewares and antique jewelry (mostly unsigned but fun to go through nonetheless)!

is your scarf the pink/ivory color? it looks blue in one of the pictures 🙂
I actually live in the same area as you. A friend of mine recently went to a place called The Painted Mill in Fallston, MD. She got some amazing finds there! They only have sales on weekend a month, but if you visit their website you can find out the weekends they are open! I can't wait to get there myself.
also where are your loafers from?

Hi and thanks for reading! The scarf is white and navy!
Loafers are from J.Crew from last year, but I think they sell some similar ones now.
