Hits the Spot

Well guys, I finally decided on a fabric for my dining chairs!  After much searching and deliberation, I decided on a black and white spotted fabric!

I have been in love with this spotted wallpaper for quite a while now.  It’s black and white spotted, and I’d kill to be able to create a lovely little bathroom just like this.

It took me forever to find out the name of this lovely wallpaper (Albert Hadley’s Fireworks for Hinson), and around the same time I also learned that they also make it in a fabric!

This fun chaise is covered in a blue version of the print.

Unfortunately this lovely fabric costs well over $100 a yard…and I simply cannot afford that.  Luckily I found a suitable alternative after lots and lots of hunting.

I found this fabric sold on a couple different websites, but the absolute cheapest price I found it for was $11.95 a yard from Tonic Living.  Here is the same fabric on a sofa:

Isn’t it going to look so amazing on my chairs?  I’m going to paint the wood a black lacquer so that they will be nice and shiny.  I cannot wait to get started!  City living sure makes big projects like this very difficult, but I’m hoping to get started within the next month or so (maybe once we move to Baltimore).  Hope y’all like it as much as I do!
