Like many of the military folks here in the DC area, I commute wearing civilian clothes. For me, it’s a chance to actually wear something from my extensive wardrobe, and I also feel like I don’t stand out like a sore thumb (in camouflage) quite so much. I recently commuted in a pair of the army green Andie Pants from J.Crew (amazing pants, by the way), a striped shirt, and brown Tory Burch sandals. As I was changing into my uniform at work, I realized that my orange toenails looked really neat next to the army green. I liked this color combo so much, in fact, I was inspired to see if I could create a fun and unique color palette for a room. Here ‘s my stab at combining orange and army green…a funky yet totally doable color combo. I feel like any outfit or room would look great in orange and green paired with light khaki, white linen, cork or wood! Do y’all like it as much as I do? I’d totally try this out on a room if I wasn’t so hooked on pinks and blues! Maybe one day I’ll get out of my comfort zone and try a funky new color combo…until then, I guess I’ll just write about it and dream.

It's pretty together. However I'm sticking with my blue and yellow comfort zone!
I really like this color combo. Never thought of it before but it's definitely something to try!
Love that!
Green and orange are two of my absolute favorite colors, but putting them together can be difficult sometimes. I think you totally nailed it! This is fabulous!
