Technical Difficulties

Hi everyone!  Hope you are all having a lovely week so far.  This weekend I worked on a couple blog posts with pretty collages, but then my computer decided to stop working!  It’s nearly 5 years old, so I guess it’s time to catch up with the rest of the world.  I’ve always been a PC user, but I’m thinking about getting an Apple computer this time.  Any thoughts or recommendations would be amazing, as I know NOTHING about computers.  Please bear with me, I promise I have some great posts coming up.

By the way, the outpouring of support from everyone during my visit to West Point was amazing.  Thanks to you all!

I'm definitely an Apple fan, but I recommend that you double check to make sure that any special software that you currently own and plan on continuing to use (like Photoshop) are compatible with the Apple operating system. Also, the MacBook Air and new iMacs don't have an optical drive (cd drive) because they're so thin. You can get an external drive that connects via USB though if you prefer a thinner computer but still need to use CDs. Happy shopping!

I was in your boat a few months ago and decided to stick with a PC. I ended up getting an ultrabook, which is the PC version of the MacBook Air (thin with no optical drive), like Julie mentioned. Best of luck with your shopping!

My Apple is awesome! All the programs work great and syncing everything works well too. However doesn't really work with Army programs. I've tried many and multiple ways, still no go.

I'm an Apple fan! It's super easy to transition, and they're just more enjoyable to work on (in my opinion)

Made the switch to Apple two years ago and this old dog has learned the new tricks and loves it!! I highly recommend it! Even the old COL I live with changed and mostly he has handled the switch well too!! LOL!
