I’m Saying No to Open Toe (For Now)

Hi everyone!  Hope you all had a wonderful weekend!  Not sure about where you all live, but it this was the first weekend that actually felt like spring in DC, and the weather was absolutely beautiful.  I managed to spend every waking moment out in the sunshine, and I even got a little bit of a tan.  The cherry blossoms around DC were in full bloom, and everything was simply gorgeous.  I’m glad I spent so much time outside, because now it is raining and the temperature is dropping like crazy.  Not cool!  I’m so ready for spring to get here and stay!

Now that the weather is warm(ish), it’s time for legs, arms and feet to get some fresh air!  I am a big runner, and while it is absolutely the best way for me to keep my weight in check, my feet have not fared so well.  I have had beat up feet and toes for years, so while I love cute sandals, I’ve recently been opting for closed toe shoes instead.  Now that it’s spring I have to find options that are good for warm weather but keep my piggies hidden (I’m currently taking a break from toenail polish in hopes that it will heal my battered toenails, which are black and blue best left unseen).  I’ve rounded up some adorable flats that do just the trick.  Some of these shoes are sleek and girly and perfect for dressing up; while others are comfy alternatives to flip-flops (hello espadrilles!)  and work well with cropped jeans and shorts.  Now if only the weather would cooperate!

So cute! Cork is so in right now (I type while sitting next to my cork tote) and I love the idea of wearing it too 🙂 Great post as always!

Really cute selections. Perfect for Spring in London where the weather can be so unpredictable.

Katie, how do you add the clickable scroll through for the shoes? I want to do something like that with spring purses on my blog but can't figure out how!

I <3 cork accessories! I have a cork checkbook cover that I've been using since 1998. It's so durable, sustainable, classic, and CUTE!
