Welcome to part 3 of my travel collection series! In addition to collecting art and wine stoppers, I also collect dish cloths. Dish cloths are wonderful souvenirs to purchase while traveling.Very easy to pack, and there is no chance that they will break in your suitcase!Anyone that has ever eaten a meal at my apartment knows that I LOATH washing dishes. It’s one of the things I’m trying to get better at wanting to do, but I have a very bad habit of leaving dishes in the sink.I even have a dishwasher, but I still hate dealing with dirty dishes! The only thing that makes it somewhat enjoyable is choosing which of my collected dish cloths to use to help me with this task.Should I use the cloth that I bought in London during the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee?
I was in England for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee in 2012. This dish cloth is way better than a tacky key chain or figurine.
Or should I use my cloth from Hawaii with a fun hula girl on it?
This hula girl calendar dish cloth reminds me of happy times before I deployed.
Or maybe the Greek one with the prints of olives and olive oil on it?
I haven’t been to Greece but my mom bought me this one when she and my dad went in 2012.
The kitchen isn’t the easiest place to add a little pizzazz, but a fun and pretty dish cloth is a great way to add some and also tell a little story of your travels.
Hawaiian fish dish cloth.
Palm tree dish cloth from I bought in a cute Waikiki store, and a palm frond dish cloth I bought at the flea market at Aloha Stadium in Honolulu.
Paris metro map dish cloth. This is one of my favorites!
Stay tuned this next week for a few more fun travel collection ideas. Bon voyage!
I love these- especially the Hawaiian fish one! This is a great idea, I always get coffee mugs (have to be cute)- I like them very big & it is a sweet reminder in the morning. But they do take up more space!
Mine is cookbooks. They're not the most space-saving option, but it's one way to take home a piece of someplace that you can keep enjoying (even if the ingredients aren't always readily available).
I love, love, love my tea towels! My collection has grown here in the UK because they are everywhere! I do love my Underground map like your Paris Metro one!
What a great idea! I'll definitely be borrowing this for my own travels.

The Paris metro one is my fav! I often save metro/subway maps from different cities and frame them…great art!
