macaron love

Who here is a macaron fan?  (I’m talking the delicious, French sandwich cookie made in a rainbow of colors and flavors…not the coconut meringue-like macaroon.)  I absolutely adore them, and have to have one (or two or three) every time I see them!  Yesterday Tom and I went on a 10 mile jog around DC, and ended in Georgetown because I wanted to pick something at CB2.  We stumbled upon Olivia Macaron on one of the side streets off of M Street, and boy am I glad we did.  They opened in October, and the store is absolutely charming.  There were so many delicious looking flavors that we ended up ordering 10 macarons for $19, as well as 2 very tasty lattes.  I didn’t have my camera with me while we were there, so by the time I got home to take these pictures there were only 4 remaining (they were irresistible!).  They were absolutely delicious and I will definitely be going there next time I head to Georgetown.  I love new, tasty discoveries!
